Frequently asked questions

What you want to know about the knowledge base chatbot.

Can the chatbot make an answer up?

It draws on the sources you have chosen. The risk falls with a clean corpus and a narrow scope, but the standard answers still need reviewing before publication.

What does the visitor see of my documents?

What you make reachable, and nothing else. An internal base becomes public only through an explicit decision: the scope is settled base by base.

How is it added to the site?

Through a snippet to paste or through the WordPress module. Either way, the appearance follows your brand and the conversation stays on your domain.

What about questions left unanswered?

Read them regularly: they are what shows you what the corpus is missing. A question that keeps coming back unanswered means either the content is absent, or it is there but worded in a way that stops it being found.

Should the visitor be told they are talking to a machine?

Yes, and European regulation expects it too. A short notice when the conversation opens is enough. Provide a way through to a person as well: a visitor who persists after two vague answers no longer wants to talk to a machine, they want a call back.
